Exotics and avians

Specialist advice for exotics and avians

Rabbits, Guinea pigs, other small mammals, birds and reptiles all deserve the same level of specialist care that is available to cats and dogs. These pets have varying biology and often very special husbandry requirements.

Some general practitioners have a particular interest in these species and have additional knowledge regarding their unique anatomy, physiology and management requirements. Our ‘exotic’ friends can, however, succumb to diseases which the general practitioner may not be completely comfortable to diagnose and treat and the opinion of a specialist could help significantly. Aside from helping your local vet to diagnose and treat any diseases, our specialists offer a wealth of knowledge with regards to the husbandry of these pets, so you can ensure they have the environment that is best suited to their requirements.

Our specialists

What we do

We provide a service that allows pet owners to consult with veterinary specialists by telephone or video consultation.

We offer independent, specialist advice from the comfort of your own home and without the commitment of further tests, treatment or significant costs. During the consultation with one of our specialists, we can discuss all aspects of the pet’s condition, including options and recommendations for further investigation, the diagnosis (or potential diagnoses), potential treatment options and the likely prognosis.
